The SEO Design Framework has an auto update feature which will alert you in Appearance > Themes > when a new version is available. As long as you have an active membership (renewed annually) then you can instantly unlock revisions via the auto-update function.
We’ve been busy adding value to the framework. You can view the SDF Changelog to see all the new features we have added since the Beta.
We are constantly adding new versions, tweaks and updates to our core repository, but will release those releases to after thorough testing to address issues from our users based on (1) situations such as code collisions (2) bug fixes or (3) feature enhancements. There is a versioning system and changelog to address what has changed since the last iteration.
When we launch new updates, we will post notifications in the SDF members homepage as well as contact members via email so they have the choice to update to the latest version. Have a Question? | Buy Now | Back to Top

With that being said, feel free to try any plugin, but please let us know if you experience problems so we can take it to the community of users for a fix or to find an alternative.
Also, the SEO Design Framework features “unlimited sidebars” that can be used in tandem with the drag and drop builder. A WordPress child theme is a theme that inherits the functionality of another theme, called the parent theme. Child themes allow you to modify, or add to the functionality of that parent theme.
A child theme is the safest and easiest way to modify an existing theme, whether you want to make a few tiny changes or extensive changes. Instead of modifying the theme files directly, you can create a child theme and override within.
The Framework is the parent that provides you all the features (hooks, custom programming, functionality) e.g like a toolbox, to build your website however you want. Frameworks can be used to build unlimited themes (as the parent) and so, for this reason they are typically used by developers. However, the SEO Design Framework has quick start settings files (similar to a child theme, but on the framework itself) that can be loaded in minutes that can feature hours of custom design (fonts, header, sidebar and widget settings intact). Implementing Quick Start Settings Files are how we have simplified the set up process for non programmers (without having to load a child theme).
A Child Theme comes pre-configured with custom design, assets and unique functionality. Child themes may or may not not have all the features available to the base-framework or in other cases totally unique functions not included in the framework (based on the application of the child theme).
